Editorial Policy

This page explains how Wellness40 researches, writes, reviews, and maintains the health and wellness content we publish. It is part of our commitment to transparency with readers, healthcare professionals, and search engines evaluating the trustworthiness of our content.

How we create content

Every article starts with editorial research, not a blank page written from opinion. Topics are chosen based on the real questions adults over 40 have about health, prevention, habits, and quality of life. From there, our editors research the topic using recognized sources — described below — and organize the findings into a clear, structured draft.

AI-assisted tools may be used during drafting to help organize research notes and produce an initial structure, in the same way a writer might use a word processor or a research assistant. However, every article is written, reviewed, and edited by a human member of our editorial team before publication. No content is published without a human editor confirming that the sourcing is accurate, the claims are supported, and the tone matches our editorial principles of clarity, responsibility, and practical usefulness. You can read more about our team and editorial approach on the About Us page.

Sources and fact-checking

We rely on recognized, verifiable sources when researching a topic, including peer-reviewed scientific publications, biomedical databases such as PubMed, public health agencies (such as the WHO, CDC, and national health ministries), clinical guidelines, and materials published by established medical or scientific societies. We avoid relying on anonymous blogs, unverified social media claims, or sources that primarily promote a specific product.

Before publication, each article is checked against its sources to confirm that claims are represented accurately and are not overstated. Where it is useful for the reader, articles link or reference the type of source a claim is based on, so readers can see the reasoning behind what is written rather than taking a statement at face value.

Corrections policy

We take factual accuracy seriously and want to know when we get something wrong. If you believe an article contains an error — outdated information, a broken source, or a claim that needs clarification — please let us know through our Contact page with a link to the article and a description of the issue.

Reports are reviewed by our editorial team against the original sources. Minor corrections, such as fixing a typo or a broken link, are made without a formal notice. Substantive corrections — anything that changes the meaning or accuracy of a claim — are corrected in the article and, where appropriate, noted with an "Updated" line describing the nature of the change.

What we do not do

Wellness40 is an editorial and educational project, not a medical practice. We do not provide medical diagnoses, individualized treatment plans, dosage recommendations, or interpretation of personal test results, and our content does not replace evaluation by a physician or other qualified healthcare professional. These boundaries are also described on our About Us page.

We do not accept pay-for-placement editorial content, and sponsorships or partnerships — if any — are always disclosed and kept separate from our editorial judgment. We do not publish unverified claims of cures, guaranteed results, or miracle solutions, and we do not present promotional material as independent editorial content.
